Before signifyd we did our own order checking and could not catch nearly what we should in fraud orders and we were declining more orders than we needed to. Signifyd has allowed us to capture more sales with confidence.

Chargeback Recovery alone saved us 2.5 FTE and endless headaches. Before Signifyd, I tried to catch fraud orders on my own. I had minimal tools and plenty of fraud orders got right past me. The people placing the fraud orders were constantly perfecting their game and they were better at the game than me. When we first hired Signifyd, I looked at the some of the orders they caught. They all looked like legitimate orders, and I remember thinking to myself that Signifyd was overly cautious. Every single order that I thought was probably good, turned out to be fraud. At the core of it, the problem we’re solving with Signifyd is how to identify truly fradulent transactions and actors from legitimate purchases. The easy answer is to increase fraud flags and apply one-size-fits-all fraud rules, which ultimately deny a greater percentage of purchases, including a greater percentage of legitimate ones. This results in aggrevating legitmate buyers and lost reveues and customers.

Trying to get them into SWISSGEAR to cut SG’s fraud, soft fraud, indirect fraud, eliminate their chargebacks from banks, disputes from Buyers who are committing fraud by saying they didn’t receive tracking number or product itself. I currently am always solving fraud routes in the Hamra and Bambi Baby web environments. I am the liaison between Signifyd’s internal solutions team and the actual project and program managers that are implementing solutions onto our client’s websites like Hamra and Bambi Baby.

We are solving our fradulent issues while acquiring fraud protection. We used to do manual credit card, street checks etc. So we would google the customer if the Billing Address did not match the shipping address and then make our best determination at that point including calling the customer. Emailing them to verify that there email address relates to their name etc.

We are not experts in fighting fraud. We were wasting a lot of our time fighting chargebacks and getting no results and needed to change this. Our approval rate significantly increased over the years and the fraud has decreased, so they are doing something right haha.

We are using SignifyD to help us with Fraud detection and prevention. We utilize their scoring in combination with our internal decisioning to make FAST decisions on orders and release as many as possible.
